Let Go And Move On

Ecclesiastes 3 tells us their is time for everything. Such as a time to be born and a time to die; a time to cry and a time to laugh; a time to start looking and a time to stop looking; and a time to love and a time to hate. These are just a few. However these seem to be irrelevant to some. Especially when it comes to relationships.

I myself have been in a few relationships. These relationships started off as being good to great to sad to what was I thinking. When it came time to move on the other party did not want to let go.
I have been there and it was not an exciting situation.

I have also seen relationships go horrifically bad when the other person is obsessed and they refuse to let you go regardless. Needless to say this ended up in a traumatic way.

Why do people try to hold on to something that is no longer there? Are they so fearful that they would not be good enough for another relationship? Could it be that they don't want to see you with another person. Either way this is unhealthy and in my opinion there are clues that you should look for when dating a possibly obsessed person.

Signs of obsession:

  1. He or she makes decisions for you.
  2. He or she needs to be aware of where you are  and what you are doing at all times.
  3. He or she stalks you.
  4. He or she shows signs of jealousy
  5. He or she does not want you to spend time with your friends are family without them being around.
  6. He or she gets upset easily over minimal mistakes and is quick to blame others.
  7. He or she has to be your center of attention at all times.

These are just a few of the many signs that are evident. Other signs may not be so evident, such as mental abuse. Like saying things that demean you.

HOLD UP! STOP! WAIT A MINUTE!

Ask yourself, "Do I deserve to be treated this way?" I can answer that for you.....HELL NO YOU DON'T!!!!! And don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

The key thing is if you value yourself like you should....you should let no one treat you less than your worth. The person who is causing the hurt and pain is really messed up and the need some serious help.

If you are reading this and you are in a situation similar to this; or if  you ARE in a this type of situation. Please Let Go and Move On!!!

God made you to be valued and honored not to be abused and mistreated. Trust me if you decide to stay you could possibly end up dead. That's the worst case scenario. The other scenario is that you will never grow and prosper the way that you are meant to due to some one constantly dimming the light that God has instilled in you.

By all means if the person does not want to let you go tell a trusted friend or family member and inform the authorities.  There is help around. You must remember in order to receive help you need to ask.

Until Next Time,
Officially Kimi
