The Past is The Past for A Reason

Hello,

It has been more than a while since I have submitted a blog. A lot has happened since my last post.
My last post was entitled "The Dash (-) In Between". So what have I been doing with my dash in between (-)? I must say that I have definitely had a growing experience. One in which I brought upon myself due to a huge lapse in judgement. To blatantly put it, I put myself in a situation that I was definitely not proud to admit.  I know eventually that I will share some of these series of events that happened to me in future blogs.  But for now I have been led to share what we will discuss now.

Have you ever re-visited something from your past and you thought  things would be better and they ended up being the same or even worse. Well let me be the first to wave my hand.  Instead of me working on my dash in between I was busy entertaining the past.  Trust me when I say this, the past is the past for a reason. I am living proof of this.

The result of me revisiting my past ended up in me getting physically hurt. Emotionally, yes to a certain extent. I ended up having to have an expensive surgery that could have been prevented.
Also, I ended up going through a series of other things that could have permanently pulled me under if it were  not for God's grace and mercy upon my life.

I can tell you if it were not for God's grace and mercy I would not be even admitting this right now.
Throughout this process I did a lot of growing. This is why when I look at this situation now I call it a growing experience. During that down time, I had  a lot of time to put things into perspective and learn who was for me and who was against me. I can honestly say that God will never put more on you than you can bear is true.

Take your car for instance, the rearview mirror is smaller than the windshield is in front of you. The windshield is an example of how big your future is in front of you and the rearview mirror displays what is behind you. It is your past. So whoever is reading this I want you to know that your past is your past for a reason. If God has placed something or someone in your life behind you.  Leave them there. God knows your future and what He has in store for you is better than what you see in the rearview mirror.

Never allow anyone or anything from your past to cause you to forfeit your future. I almost did and I will admit that I was a fool to do it. We all live but the question is do we learn?  We may bump our heads a time or two but that does not give you or me a reason to throw in the towel and give up on what God has in store for us.

There is nothing or no one that separate us from the Love of God, just remember that. He knew what He was getting when He got you. I am so glad that I serve and Love a God who is unconditional and knows my faults even before I do.

So I apologize for the hiatus, but I went through a growing experience. I want to thank the ones who are faithful readers and who I have seen along the way who have enjoyed the few blogs that I have written.

I guess this means that I am "Officially" back.

Until next time,
Officially Kimi

Be Blessed!
